The Budweiser Clydesdales were waiting for the signal.
It came soon enough and they were off.
The hitch and wagon entered the barley field.
The leader turned and announced, "I have never been in a barley field before."
Nor had any of the Clydesdales.
Even Clyde was impressed with the wide open spaces that the field provided.
Belly high, even on the giant steeds, barley is the reason the Clydesdales had come to town.
The Clydesdales were perfect gentlemen, throughout the afternoon.
But we were all getting a little hot and tired.
Judd received a kiss of thanks from Clyde for all of his effort in organizing this day.
We will never forget our meeting with the Clydesdales.
And will do our best to bring in malting barley from the fields of GriggsDakota.
