Rows of Winter Wheat

Green Stripes in the Fall are a very good sign.
The Winter Wheat is up and growing.
I was parked on the road in the photo above taking photos as Jake planted this crop with the Concord Air Till Drill.
Our recent rains have allowed it to pop out and establish a good root system.
There were alto-cumulus clouds announcing a weather change is on its way.
This time of year, it means the forecast contains a four letter s-word.

While we are ready for a hard freeze so that harvest can continue, we don't want "soybeans in the snow" as we had in 2009. All of our 2013 soybeans and corn crops are still in the field.
We are looking for a green and growing weekend in GriggsDakota.
