Warm, Windy, Planting Barley

Farmer Fred spends time searching for fields that are "ready to go."
"Ready to go," in this instance means ready for a final pass with our
Salford RTS followed by the Concord Air Till Drill seeding barley.
Happily for everyone, the fields are ready and we are going.
Seeding barley turned into dusty work this afternoon as the high temperature soared to over 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
That is nearly 60 degrees warmer than Saturday's low temperature.
It seems like a step in the right direction.
With no green growing, it was dusty when the wind picked up.
But we are glad to be in our dusty fields. It is not really dry below the surface here and many fields still have too many wet spots to work.
Barley in the ground is good news in GriggsDakota.
