So this is the merry month of May...
Snow is still drifted on the South side of the snow fence.
There is still snow on the South Side of the shelter belts.
May day! May day! This is May Day!
Although we had a quick warm up into the sixties over the weekend, we are back to highs in the forties with freezing temperatures at night.
So we will sit and wait for Spring again.
The wind has been fierce, which helps dry down of the fields. We have had an inch of rain that helps pull the frost from the ground and clean things up.
The melting has released layers of things that must be fully explored.
We are hoping to begin field work in a couple of weeks. We have been changing plans and adjusting seed and fertilizer orders to accommodate what will be a short Spring.
We're floating along like April Fools on May Day in GriggsDakota.
