Time to Put Away the Combines

There were tracks in the muddy road.
The combines were on their way to the shed for a long winter's nap. The year suddenly seemed over and it had passed by so quickly that I had to stop and think about our farming season in GriggsDakota.
There was an early Spring with plenty of time to plant.
Followed by a time of mud.
There was time to enjoy water with ripples forming in the breeze.
There was time to pick rocks.
There was time for horseback riding.
There was time to stand around and watch the world grow.
There was time to watch baseball games.
There was time to enjoy wild flowers.
The Summer weather was beautiful. It seemed that it was a little too beautiful. The fields began to dry out.
There was time to worry about drought.
It turned out that the crop came through the dry weather well.
There was time to harvest.

The combines are put away now. The season complete.
The Ag Analyst has concluded that there will be more time to farm next year.
Winter will bring time to plan.
When Spring returns, it will be time to start another season of planting and harvest in GriggsDakota.
