I caught a glimpse of wild turkeys as I was driving by. I haven't seen any this Summer.
There have been no wild turkeys hanging around our yard and we have blamed the coyotes.

There was a day, a few years ago now, that turkeys were so common that they were garden pests. We saw them nearly every day.
The tall trees here will protect the birds who can fly nearly straight up to the tree tops. They don't fly far, but they are quick to get to the tree tops. Trees on the edge of a corn field are a perfect turkey haven.
