Hauling in the Barley

We have fresh new crop barley in the bin.
Since we are finished with small grains, we have time and the elevator has room for us to haul some in.
So the trucks are on the road.
The grain carts thought that they would have a few weeks of rest.
Even the little orange helper has been called into service. The truck drivers go to the elevator and Field Hand Joe fills the grain carts. That way, when the trucks return, they can be filled and back on the road quicker.
Old Red is resting while New Red has been working hard. We feel lucky to get some of the grain off the farm before our beans and corn is ready to harvest.
We feel lucky that Field Hand Joe has a few more days to work before Summer is over.
Summer is always too short in GriggsDakota.
