Green and Growing Winter Wheat

The Winter Wheat is growing in GriggsDakota
This is three weeks ahead of last year's break from dormancy.
It came through our mild Winter, as expected, alive and ready to grow.
We always breathe a sigh of relief. In our climate, we can't take its winter survival for granted.
This is early for greening wheat. We know there could still be weather setbacks.
There is plenty of moisture and near the road it is easy to see the green rows.
We have to keep reminding one another of the date on the calendar.
This early Spring Day is made for dreaming.
Farmer Fred is full of hope in GriggsDakota.
