June Farmer Fred Award-Case IH MX 305 Finds Home in GriggsDakota

Every year for over 50 years, our little town holds a turkey barbecue in the City Park. It is a tradition that we and thousands of others look forward to on the third Saturday of June each year. It is so much work that we wonder if it will happen again, but every year we gather the workforce and the fun begins.

It's easy to say that a big boy like Farmer Fred loves to play in the dirt with his big boy toys and that is true. However, in farming today the right equipment is of the utmost importance. Farming is risky business and we want to do all we can to keep our farm in GriggsDakota a viable operation.

This tractor has a little more power than the other tractors that have pulled our drill this season.
The tires are wider and give better traction. 
And Farmer Fred is smiling while working to hook up the drill to the new tractor in GriggsDakota. 
The Case IH MX305 tractor is all the things that our rental tractor, the MX285 is,
With a little more horsepower and grip. 
We like the flashers out to the edge of the dual tires and the wide mirrors.  
We, with often tired knees, appreciate the comfortable nonskid steps up  
to the comfortable and functional cab. 
The controls for the Concord Air Till Drill are installed. 
Farmer Fred is working to get it out in the field by this afternoon. 
Fenders on the front tires will help to keep mud off the tractor in our wet fields. 
Sunshine and a breeze bring optimism today.

  1. That was a great entry. It showed all the best parts of a farmer's day. I hope they have their own water jetter to clean up and maintain their equipment.
