Thanks to a Veteran and to all Veterans

Today is Veteran's Day. A day for remembering and celebrating all who have served in the military of the United States of America.
Most Americans, even Veterans, will be going about our business as usual today. We enjoy our American freedom because of the sacrifice of Veterans.
We should be holding a parade.
We could find a skinny majorette who drags her feet
and she could lead the high school marching band up Main Street.
Or, perhaps, we could pay tribute to a Veteran of the Air Force.
Who left his home in GriggsDakota to serve his country.
He and his wife lived in interesting places like Turkey.
They came back to GriggsDakota on leave, with stories and gifts.
While he was in the Air Force he was always in our hearts
 and on our minds.
We learned the words to the Air Force Blue song and sang it together. We especially enjoyed seeing the video on television and it always reminded us of our Air Force Soldier.
In the Air Force he was known by his name, rank and serial number, but in GriggsDakota he is known as Uncle Owen. Thank you for serving your country. Enjoy Veteran's Day. Today we sing the Air Force Blue song in Uncle Owen's honor and hope all Veterans hear a warm thank you and feel a pat on back from the freedom loving folks in GriggsDakota.
