Knee High on Flag Day?

We parked by lone tree to walk in and check the AdFarm Corn field.
We found the corn is doing very well.
In fact it was nearly knee high by Flag Day.
If you measure with the right knees.
I laid out my handy measuring tape, to let the truth be told.
The growing leaves will soon fill in the spaces between plants.
And we are pleased with the height although we have some higher knees to measure it against on the Fourth of July.
In the coming days it will be top-dressed with nitrogen and receive a second pass of herbicide. Warmer days will be needed to get this crop growing strong.
The sunset painted the stripes and the stars followed at twilight. It was a Happy Flag Day in
GriggsDakota.
