A Day in May

Geese are hatching in GriggsDakota and we watched this pair of Canada geese launch their goslings this morning.
It was a glorious day for a swim.
Robbie was greasing the drill. We are back to seeding this week after a wet layoff.
As Farmer Fred pulls onto the field, notice that Bill is already seeding barley with the Concord in the distance on the left, above.
The day was spent getting the crop into the ground as fast as we can.
The barley is nearly finished by the end of the day.
Sunset painted the prairie sky red and reflected in the slough. We hope to get another dry sunny day of seeding in tomorrow.
