Winter Wheat Appears!

Above:  After our long GriggsDakota winter, our eyes are hungry for green on the ground.
Above:  When the green shoots grow through the barley stubble in straight lines, it is very exciting. The wheat is out of the ground!
Above:  The deer have also discovered the green winter wheat sprouts. The dark tracks tell the story.
Above:  I think the deer held a dance here. Who can blame them? They made it through the GriggsDakota winter, too!
Above:  The rows of green are clearly growing in the canola stubble, as well. This was seeded on September 26th last fall. Click Here to revisit that day.
Above:  Farmer Fred is optimistic as he sees how well this crop seems to have weathered the winter.
