Early Twilight

Daylight Saving Time ended over the weekend in GriggsDakota. Sunrise yesterday was at 7:22AM which meant the sun set at 5:14PM.
Above:  "Red sky at night, farmer's delight!" Okay, so that saying is really for sailors, but it seems to apply on the plains, as well. The forecast is for a dry, sunny, and breezy week. That is just what we need.
Above:  We started around noon yesterday and combined for hours in the darkness.

Above:  If the weather forecast holds through Sunday, there is a chance we will finish the soybeans and edible beans. The night sky was dotted with lights as we are not the only farmers racing against the change of seasons.
